4kg Ice bucket & six glasses, heavily textured. Iittala?
«

Hi all,
Could anyone enlighten me as to who designed/made this set? The ice bucket/punch bucket? weighs over 4kg! All are very heavily textured.
I thought maybe Iittala, but I cannot find anything to confirm/denounce my thoughts anywhere.
Ice bucket is 10 3/4" in height and the glasses 4"
All help and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hi Della,
Elimination process here, but it is not "Boutique" by Panek, for SU.
I think you are looking at the right area, Scandinavia.

Stems are definitely not Ultima Thule.

Thanks for the input
I have looked very closely at the glasses. Almos impossible to see any markings because of the density of the pattern, but I have found that each of the glasses has a different, single number impressed on the inside of the foot.
My question now is: Are the French the only ones to practise the impressing of numbers, or did other countries do this also?
Sorry if this seems a dumb question, but if you don't know the answer to something, trying to find out an answer seems the most sensible thing to do.

I think the set could be Oberglas, Austria. Impressed mould numbers point at an automated manufacturing process, so you're not looking for a small outfit.

Aha, that is where I recognise the pattern from {{{{lightbulb}}}} I once had a bottle, which you kindly identified for me as being Oberglas or Italian, Ivo. It had the same 'flame' kind of pattern on it.
Thank you, again, Ivo
