Nancy,
my guess is Murano, Italian , I havent seem similar, but its really really nice,
and i am sure it would glow brightly under UV light!
Andy :D

May be worth posting on the Murano board :-\

Nancy,
im not a great fan of Animals and Fish, i dont know why,
but this one i would buy and keep, i think its great! its got a happy expression ;D
and i hope someone can give you more useful advice, i would think its
a good maker, but may be anywhere(in my opinion) from 1900-1960 :-\
Good luck with it ;)

Wouldn't it be an idea to move this to the Murano board, where someone may be able to give more info on maker and date?

Salviati circa 1900s. Looks pretty similar ;)

Hi guys,
for sure it was made in a "Salviati" spirit, but it was made later and by a not high level master glassmaker. The shape is pretty strage for a fish to be sold alone. In general the fish is a very common subject, but not with this shape (expecially the body). I suspect it was made to be glued on a stem. Or may be a kind of exercise before to work on Salviati style reproductions.
Just an opinion...

Sincerely

Alex
