its by Patrick McMahon , he's master crystal engraver started in ireland and ended up in grange over sands

Thank you for the information. I have just come accross another item we have had for years which is a decanter with the same signature. However on this item there is a sticker which says ARCCRYSTAL engaved in Cumbria. So French made?

Could it be Artcrystal instead? This is the name that Patrick McMahon trades under. :)
