Connie, that's interesting - like you say the base is very different; it looks as if the edge of the base is slightly less rounded too.

I've done some digging around on Huuto and found these:
http://www.huuto.net/fi/showitem.php3?itemid=46868778 and these
http://www.huuto.net/fi/showitem.php3?itemid=45258746
which include cobalt ones  ::) However, the bases look rather thin. For example, compare to
http://www.huuto.net/fi/showitem.php3?itemid=48359862 which is the taller size and
http://www.huuto.net/fi/showitem.php3?itemid=46498136 which is the shot glass  ???. All very confusing!

Other companies did produce Nuutajärvi tableware lookalikes. For example, compare
these Nuutajärvi turn-mould blown tumblers http://www.vjak.net/tuotteet/p1.htm
with these Reijmyre ones http://www.stylendesign.co.uk/modern/G690.html

Pip, I agree with you about the Iittala ones, I've several that I use regularly, well made & sturdy!
