Topic: Help With The Value?

would anyone know the value of any of these? or where I could find the value of any of these? My grandmother is 97 and just got put in a nursing home so I want to protect these for her.

Hiya, valuations aren't usually given on this board because there are so many different factors that need to be taken into consideration - condition, rarity, the market they're in - all sorts of things.  This board is a fabulous place to learn about glass but not the right place to get monetary values put on items.  Whenever I'm personally contacted via my website to offer valuations I usually point people in the direction of online auction sites - searching for similar/same items currently for sale and recently sold items will give you a rough idea - as will looking in recent specialist glass books like Millers for example - bearing in mind that both sources can be subject to fluctuations up or down.  I do hope this helps.

re value , probably typical of a generation who have had these items in their possession
for generations, the actual monetary value is sometimes a dissapointment! Added together,
probably not a weeks (or days!) worth of rent towards her home. Some nice pieces, but i would suggest
she keeps the important pieces and items she remembers the history or who, what or
where they came from, around her, depending on the available space,, and some her friends and
family ask to hold on for her on their shelves, so she has an idea thevyv gone to a good home!
Make her feel they are important to the family , and may have a value, rather than just getting
a few pounds for the lot!

If you want to protect these items for your Grandmother, probably the best idea is to put them in a box in the attic.

I think the one on the left in the second pic is Italian from around the 1970s / 80s. I bought a couple like this when I first started collecting "interesting" examples of coloured glass. These vases, all with the same type of wavy rim and style of handle, could be found in many places in the UK and were usually sold for about £15 - £20.

But are my beliefs about country and age correct? Anyone care to confirm or correct?

Thank You all so much for the replies, That is what I told my grandmother I would do is keep them at my house for her, because some lady that cleans the nursing home asked her if she could take these pieces home and my grandmother was worried , so anyway i have them wrapped and put away in boxes that is why i was curious the value. You should have a quiet word with the nursing home owner, regarding that cleaner.
The behaviour you describe suggests an attempt to take advantage of someone the cleaner perceives to not be in full command of her faculties.
You would get sacked for asking questions like that of residents, in many reputable British housing trusts and charities with sheltered accommodation.
What else might have disappeared the same way from other people?
