Is this a Davidson Luna Vase?
« on: March 30, 2007, 05:34:20 AM »
Hi I picked 2 of these up from auction recently & just seemed to think they were Davidson Luna but not 100% sure as I could not find any listed on ebay or any info much when I googled it.  So the question are they Luna vases & if so are they rare as there weren't any listed on any auction sites I could find?  They are about 7 inches tall by the way.

Davidson's Luna is about half way down this page:

Can't remember what the state of play with this one is, but search on Oberglas and Luna and see what you can find.

Snap Cathy. Doesn't look like Luna to me, I don't think it was cased for a start and the pattern looks too smooth

I have 2 or 3 of those, they are very much smaller than the BHF ones, not so sharp on the tops either.  Some are cased and some aren't, probably the best place to find others on the web is the Not WF page of whitefriars.com

http://www.whitefriars.com/mistaken.php?pageNum_Mistaken=1&totalRows_Mistaken=338

Two on that page for certain.  I also have three cylindrical ones, similar but with a thinner wall & more "dented" pattern and I've read on here recently discussion that they could be Sklo Union.  I'll go searching for that thread.
Tim

I started with Carnival glass, then other C20 irridescent, then Whitefriars ducks, then Dartington FT Daisies etc, then Whitefriars Tricorns...when will it end?
