Morning Marcus,
thanks for this info. ive got a few of the bowls on page2, the best one ,enormous
in greens and lilacs, i gave to my
Sister as a present, and i dont think she appreciates it, i may ask for it back on my birthday ;)
I can understand your frustration at some of the stuff you see on ebay and on here!
After our conversations last night,Ive just ordered 'Czech Glass 1945-1980: Design in the Age of
Diversity' , Did i do good :)  As an amateur, there is a tendency to find a piece of glass similar to
one you know, and think , similar style, colours ,method of manufacture etc, and put 2 and 2
together to make 5!
I hope the new book will help me in my quest, one more favour though before it arrives,
this pic..

are they Skrdlovice ???  photos not excellent i know, but the 2nd from the left was given to
me years ago, from a friend whos grandmother had died, so i know its got some age to it,
and over the years , from a process of elimination, id put it down to Skrdlovice, and have
since collected others. Am i barking up the wrong tree :-\
I hope i can return the favour and help you one day!
Regards
Andy

Excellent book, and around a third of all illustrations are production items.
Is the image the one with five pieces on it?
Without better lighting it is hard to tell.
If you get a chance to put up somewhat better images?
Don't forget that some of the designs trialled at Skrdlovice, ended up being produced elsewhere, such as Chribska, if demand could not be satisfied by Skrdlovice.
Regards,
Marcus

Hey Marcus - putting the catalogues up in the GlassGallery is a brilliant idea and much appreciated - cheers!

I shall ask my mother to do some translations - it's jolly handy having a clever Mum who speaks 6 languages ...

Hi Marcus,
well, ive had the camera out again ;)
of these 6 vases, i think :-\ the 4 on the left are Skrdlovice ???
the 5th one, im not so sure, and the 6th is the tall one i put on last night,so probably not!

And finally, the 6 again, with a couple of bowls in front, which i think :-\ are Skrdlovice ???

If you get a moment, your kind assistance would be very welcome :D (grovel grovel!)
Cheers Andy
