Bronze aventurine swan - turquoise eyes - Barbini?
« on: April 06, 2007, 05:20:48 PM »
Recently I had a little penguin that Javier kindly pointed me towards Barbini.
Here is the thread:

http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,9556.0.html

Now I have a new Swan, bronze aventurine core cased in amber with a clear quatrefoil foot, that seems to have exactly the same colours of amber and turquoise as the penguin.  Am I safe in assuming Barbini again?  He has a residual red label underneath that I found in the Murano Labels gallery, but without attribution (although it was wondered if it might be Cenedese).

Here is the swan.... you will notice that I managed to stress crack the beak whilst very gently (I promise) wiping the neck over... :'( :'(

Murano Swan

Thanks in advance for any direction you can point me .

Thank you very much!

Lynne

Hi!
not Barbini or Cenedese.
The labels found on these birds are the generic Red and some Green Venetian Glass - Murano labels.
No attribution on them yet.
