Paperweight Identification
« on: April 09, 2007, 07:28:47 PM »
I have a couple of paperweights which I am struggling to identify. I have been through the few books I have and have trawled the various websites I know about but to no avail.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Weight 1    http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-6336
Base shot   http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-6337

Weight 2     http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-6334
Base Shot   http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-6335    There is an etched signature on the base of weight 2 which is either TVU or TUU or TVV. I can't quite make it out.
Regards
Ronnie

I have a fairly similar one - with a sticker "Hand made crystal / Taiwan".

On the other hand I've seen many similar ones on ebay - sometimes attributed to Heron Glass - can't say if that attribution is correct.

Weight 1 does look like Heron's style and TV is usually Teign Valley Glass and pw looks like it.   :)
