Not Loetz but who made this Iridized pot please ?

I ran this by the USA pottery and glass board a good while ago with no success other than it cannot be Loetz as it has a "polished" ground pontil although the iridised finish is similar.

One possibility since browsing pics here was New Zealand though I am still lost and hope someone here may be able to put me right !

It is small at just over 3" tall .
The tulip type design is repeated three times around it , there is a fairly new little chip where the pontil has been ground away and polished though there is some wear at the few points the pot rests upon .

The design is proud both on the outside and the inside , glass is thin and perhaps similar to that of a wine glass !
There is one small elongated bubble near the rim .

I am not sure if this is modern or old , either way I would rather be told it's worthless than to discard it !

Any input would be most appreciated , many thank's as always , Dave

That ground but not polished pontil is curious - I'd love to hear what the others have to say about it.

There are 100's if not 1000's of these on ebay all titled Loetz. It's anybodys guess. Unpolished pontils used to mean Chinese. Now ? Who knows ....pick a country. Sorry. Ed.

Thank's hotglass . I see that there are 99 pieces of glass currently listed with Loetz either in title or discription . There is no way I would list with Loetz in title unless I was 100% sure .
As you have stated about unpolished pontil pointing towards Chinese I  accept that this is conclusive and I thank you very much for your time.

A happy and well advised , Dave

It looks old to me. And not Chinese either. I'm thinking it could be early 1900s, Bohemian/Czech.
Loetz wasn't the only maker of iridised glass like this, everyone was doing it back then as it was in fashion & the manufacturers copied each other all the time.
Loads of "minor" manufacturers made this type of glass, but it all gets called Loetz.
English firms in Stourbridge made this type of iridised moulded glass too, & I'm even thinking that I've seen that tulip design on a piece attributed to an English maker.
Either way, it is old & no way it's Chinese.
Marinka.
More glass than class!

Thanks for this encouraging post  ;) .
I am not sure that this is moulded as the design is concave both on the inside as well as on the outside of the glass !

Looks mould blown from here. I would go with the old too.
