Purple Perfume bottle - sig ID help please
« on: May 07, 2007, 11:06:59 AM »
I bought this little perfume bottle at one of Peter Layton's Open Days a couple of years ago, but I can't make out the signature.  I should have asked whose it was at the time, but forgot to  :-[ ::)

It looks to me like a C then a squiggle, then something which might begin with R or P and end with a letter with a 'tail' (y or g?) then a gap and 4C and an E.  (Probably one for Adam A. I guess ;) )

Leni, sorry I can't help, but Sylvie at the London Glassblowing Studio is very helpful indeed, she may identify the signature herself, or check with others there if the original signatory isn't there any more.

Her email addy is here:

Leni, I've had a good look at your signature (a good squint would probably be more descriptive in my case) and I can't see anything more than what you've already suggested but I did try, honest!

Hmm...I had a good look too.  Thought it might say 'Richard' in the middle, but probably not.  ::)  Also went to Peter Layton's site and had a look through past events, but nothing turned up.  Had fun though!   :D

Thank you, Lynne!  :D What a sensible idea!  Why didn't I think of that?  :-[ ::)
