Need Help in Dating Czech Pink Depression? Cologne Bottle
« on: May 02, 2007, 07:23:35 PM »
This is a interesting piece that is pink with a white ribbon applied striping.  It is hand signed "Czechoslovkia".  In the US, we would call it pink depression that would date in the 1940s.  This looks like it could be older, any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Nancy,
I'd suggest that pre-WWII, is more accurate than 1940s, though the machine-wound applied beading is a technique that appeared some decades earlier.
As to manufacturer..... I'll have to pass, but will see what else I can find.
Regards,
Marcus
