Cherub behind bars
« on: May 06, 2007, 11:29:04 AM »

Here is a little panel cut trinket box. The underside of the lid has an engraving

http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-6821

A little overkill of symbolism perhaps: Amor caged, Eros locked - maybe the box is for keeping the key to your chastity belt?

Czech? Belgium? Swedish? Modern? Old? Tips and hints are welcomed.

Oh, Ivo, it's probably supposed to be unrequited love, or love thwarted, but yes the unintentional message is pretty funny.
