Mod: split from original topic

while i'm talking to you have you any idea what this is?,I've had it a long while, its got a polished pontil base and looks old with the amount of wear on the bottom, it looks better than the photo,it has lots of little bubbles in the glass. Its 11" across and 4"" tall, I like it but is it just a piece of tat or what? I can't seem to find anything like it apart from some powell bowls which are similar but not the same.regards cheryl

Green posy bowl, ruffled rim - any ideas

It might be better to start a whole new topic on this, rather than within a thread about cloud glass, so that other members can pick up on it. If you prefer I can split this topic out and do it for you.

Can't help with this bowl though.

yes that sounds like a good idea, thankyou for you help. This glass collecting is a bit addictive, I bought an amber glass vase on the car boot and now have so much I don't know where to put it. I like to know what I've bought and can usually find the answers on the net or in books. Just this one bowl is different to the pressed glass I normally collect. I did put it on before but got no replies.thats why I thought it might not be anything special , (I'll still like it whatever it is!!)) regards cheryl

It's not tat, we probably just don't know who made it. Can we have a photo of the base please

Thank you. Is the dimple moulded or ground out and polished?

Hi   The dimple is very smooth so I'm guessing its moulded, I don't know anything about the manufacture of this type of glass. regards cheryl

Very smooth would suggest it was ground and polished - I wonder if it's Bohemian?
