Hello all
I am taking a shot here to see if there is any knowledge of these pieces. The creamer and sugar are a matched set and were purchased in separate sales, both from England. They are old flint glass, circa 1850, and are actually a lot more yellow than the photo shows, due to the camera flash.
http://www.vaselineglass.org/creamsugarflint.jpgThe marmade dish is also yellow vaseline, about 1850, heavy flint piece and has an attached underplate. the loop on the lid is pressed, not applied. There is remnants of an old gold decoration where the underplate meets the vertical sides of the base (sort of looks like dirt in the photo).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some of you who are members from other email groups may have seen me post these photos before, but I have never posted them to this group. You just never know when someone might know!!
