Riihimaen Lasi Oy

Hi folks I thought you might like to see my latest charity shop find.

It is signed to the base "AIMO OKKOLIN RIIHIMAEN LASI OY" the photos do not do the colour justice as it is a beautiful citrine yellow it is very heavy at 2.83kg it measures 21cm across and stands 10cm high.

I paid £40 for it but I think it is well worth it.

 ;)

A very nice find, Ian. I am more than a little envious.  >:D  ;)
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Gorgeous, Ian! Are all the surfaces cut and polished?

Ian, are you aware of our brand-new shiny Scandinavian forum? :D

If there are no objections I will move it there.

Ian, what an amazing object.  Quite different from the Aimo Okkolin designs I'm familiar with and such a beautiful colour - worth every penny I'd say - well done!

Hi David, no I do not have any objections to this being moved.

Until you said Cathy I had assumed it to be moulded albeit highly polished, however after your enquiry I have studied it in much more detail and yes all the surfaces do appear to be cut and polished.

Hi Ian,

Beautiful vase and congratulations with the purchase!
It's a very desirable piece of Aimo Okkolin and much more worth than GBP 40!

Regards,
