Lead Crystal Bowl, any ideas?
« on: May 31, 2007, 07:24:20 PM »
Hi, picked this up in a box of very grubby glass, was pleasantly surprised when a clean revealed this.
I think it's pretty old judging by base wear and the age of the things that came with it, from 1886 through to 1927 identifiable by marks. It measures 9.5cms height and 24cms width, weighs a wopping 2400gms. Would love to have a better idea of age and possibly maker please. When the light catches it it's just fantastic.  I've had a lot of questions I know but I do keep coming across things.
