victorian glass dinner bell

I would be grateful for any links or advice about these. one has just sold on e-bay for ---a lot.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190111867664&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_

I can't find any information about them by searching the Net. The reason? I have six glass bells and whilst their look and sound is elegant, I have never got as far as finding out about them. there have been too many other, more interesting,  pieces of glass to research.
I am tempted to sell them, in order to buy utilitarian equipment for my first grandchild.
Thank you for any advice.
Regards Ruth

Thank you very much, Sue,
I will try that tonight. I found a couple of books, through Amazon, which look interesting.
Regards Ruth
