I think there was a series of astrological signs....generally, but not always, that means quite a lot, relatively speaking.

Baccarat did a zodiac set of sulphides (in the 60s if memory serves). Right now the interest in modern sulphides is pretty low so they've been going for pretty low on Ebay. I've picked up several in the 10 to 30 dollar range. It's hard to day how much they're worth. I generally go with what the market is saying and right now it's low. It's a good time to collect them.
I collect Scottish and Italian paperweights and anything else that strikes my fancy.

Thanks to eBay and a surfeit of contemporary Bacaret and D'Albrat sulfides, the re-sale market for them is terrible. I doubt the market for sulfides will ever recover. It is a buyer's market, but for what purpose? They will never be worth anything more than what was paid for them, and right now the range for standard sulfides is $7 to $27. Overlays might go a bit higher. All we need now is for a dreadul Chinase sulphide to really destroy the market.

Hi Christine.
Yes.

Certainly,Baccarat and D'Albret are nothing special at all, but at least you didn't pay too much for it.
Deja vu?

Nothing special?

I like 'em. All that lead crystal looks like jewels in my cabinet. I'm happy with them.

One man's diamonds would seem to be another person's squashed carbon.

Thank you very much!

Glasstrufflehunter,
My apologies, an intent to be humorous, rather than being offensive about the glass you collect.
regards,
Marcus
