Iittala pattern & what is this?
« on: June 08, 2007, 01:09:01 PM »
Thick walled Iittala glass dish measuring 6 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" high. The opening is 4 1/4" wide.

What is the pattern name, who designed it & what would it be used for?

I hope I did this picture thing right.

Hi Sandra,
It is an ashtray, part of the 'Aslak' series, I believe. Designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1969 and produced between 1970-1988
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.
