Could this smokey vase be orrefors please?

Hi I have been looking around and wondered if this could be orrefors, stands 4 3/4" high and are 3" wide

Hi Cazza, this could be a Whitefriars 9553 but i may be wrong, there are others on the GMB who would know better and could give you the colour  :)

I definitely don't think this is WF - the rim doesn't look ground and the shape isn't right for a 9553.  It's a very nice vase though Cazza - I thought, as you said, that Orrefors is usually signed (or is that Kosta I'm thinking of)  ???

I do not know, if all Orrefors is signed or not or do they put labels on some items only. Oh if only I knew it all. :) life would be so easy. Thanks for the reply Pip.

McConnell says, "Orrefors not only signed a majority of its work, but also applied it with stickers until 1998."

I have a couple of labelled cased glass pieces that are labelled, but not signed - but it seems few factories signed cased glass.
