Another Romanian glass artist using similar techniques and styles is Dan Bancila:

What was this bit of glass?  The pics have gone now... Edit:  Maker:  Vadan?

DOH!

Yes, I have a Vadan vase - but mine is not very like David's, that's why I didn't connect it.

As David says, his (and the Tubi Vadan stuff on ebay) is quite 'Art Nouveau' whereas mine is very solid and 'modern' looking - here's the pic http://tinypic.com/51aryc  which is why I didn't instantly think of it

But it's definitely not pink!

Hi Leni,

Definitely not pink and I can see why you didn't make an immediate connection.

But this looks more like the work of Dan Bancila, perhaps?

David, my Vadan is signed.  Is there a signature anywhere on your 'jug' vase?

It does look a lot like the Bancila, too.  Does he sign his work, I wonder?

No sig - the vase/jug/thingy/whatsit is completely blank. I did take a photo of the base but it's not terribly exciting :!:

From a style point it does look Bancila, so it was interesting to be proved wrong!

I can only assume yours is from a Studio range, perhaps, hence the signature.
