bird and strawberry reproduction?
« on: September 22, 2004, 03:51:05 AM »
Does anyone know what pieces of the bird and strawberry, aka bluebird, have been reproduced?  Also, does anyone know how to tell the reproductions from the genuine old pieces?  Thanks in advance.

Bird and Strawberry produced by Indiana Glass of Dunkirk Indiana about 1914. According to Jenks, Luna and Reilly in their book Identifying Pattern Glass Reproductions, 1993---The compote and relish dish have been reproduced. The original was never produced in blue or green. Also in the repros, the pattern is to quote "terribly blurred" "the bird's feathers all but nonexistent." "The glass is overly heavy and extremely smooth and oily." Terry
