Topic: Helena Tynell or not?

I think this bottle listed on eBay is not a design of Helena Tynell but a (Italian?) copy. It is quite the same as the 'Emma' vase but the colours are different and it is not cased in clear glass.

These 'Emma' decanters and lamp bases have been selling for a while on ebay. They are not listed in Design Lasin. However not everything is in design lasin although it is very comprehensive. I think the jury is out on this one but they do seem to be being accepted as Tynell generally on ebay.

It may be the angle of the photograph, but the stopper seems to lack quality (Wobbley) and it reminds me of Empoli bottle decanter stoppers.

Yes, I think this is definitely an Empoli stopper - I had a huge dark green decanter with squares, marked clearly Italy on the underside, and the stopper was exactly the same as this (and as wobbly). 

The question is whether the decanter and the stopper belong together, I think possibly not.

I dunno about wobbly but the stopper looks a different color to me. Very odd. The body looks thinner and longer than the Emma - is it ? Or just my imagination ? Also does the Emma have that bottle style rim ? Ed.

Emma has a wider top not the bottle type. However these are sold as Emma decanters, a variant. I don't know if they are or not!

Besides this, the colours of the bottle version (up to now I have seen a brown and kind of blue one) differs from the usual Emma colours and is not cased in clear glass.
