Hi Tony, Avon, see ebay 190124738176 for one similar in green, and if i remember right they have a slightly waxy feel, if you know what i mean  :-\

AVON, this is not glass but some sort of lacquer. Hold it to the light and the word AVON is visible on the bottom.

Thanks, It's just that I spotted one on the car boot. I picked it up and looked at it. It seemed to be poorly made, I hadn't seen anything like it and it reminded me of something. I left it as it lacked quality but I later wondered if it was anything. I just happened to come by this auction while I was looking for something else.

Glad I didn't buy it, er, I think, not sure if I like it or not.
