Savoy-ish Vase from Holmegaard...
« on: June 27, 2007, 12:00:10 PM »
Just been scanning in a few old Holmegaard publications, and I thought this might be a handy reference image.

It's a vase designed by Sigvard Bernadotte, and it seems to take inspiration from the 1936 Alvar Aalto vase. Unfortunately the publication doesn't give a range name or a year of design. I would guess late 1930s / early 1940s.

(The image was taken from Jacob E. Bang's Glas I Hjemmet (1949), which was a 24 page booklet by Holmegaards Glasvaerk given out to distributors, retailers, etc... to promote the company.)
