Pretty contemporary paperweight - does anyone have any idea of the maker?

The central "veil" is like a shaggy trumpet flower with a large oval bubble inside, base is polished smooth, very lightly showing the grind lines, so slightly frosted but not in a Chinese way...

It looks very much like Royal Crest. They did a series of weights based on Greek and Roman God's, Zeus/Hercules/Perseus/ etc, and they all look exactly the same except the base colouring and size (I have a Perseus magnum) Smiley

Not terribly valuable, they're the sort of thing you'd find on the high street from £5 to £20 usually Smiley

I have one very similar. I seem to remember seeing a Royal Crest sticker on it when I first got it. Very nice abstracts. Definitely one of the nicer importers from Asia.

I collect Scottish and Italian paperweights and anything else that strikes my fancy.
