Is there a good book out on Rosenthal?

I'm trying to identify these Rosenthal stamped glasses:

They look very close to Wirkkala items - but are they?

Jan Kilian has got a Rosenthal 1978 jubilee calendar 'full of glass' granules in the top cover
The book he refers to is:

GLASWELT OSTBAYERN
Trinkgläser der Gegenwart

Hrsgg. von Gernot H. Merker.

Bergbau- und Industriemuseum Ostbayern. 1987. Band 14. 120 Seiten.
ISBN 3-92569007-7

Seiten 65 - 71:

Rosenthal studio-line  -  Rosenthal Aktiengesellschaft - Glasfabrik Amberg

(moderner Bau, Entwurf Walter Gropius 1970).

Abgebildete Glasservice: Capriole, Carnival, Papyrus, Maitre, Romanze, Monbijou, Colonna-grafica.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Kleiner Kalender 9 x 9 cm:

25 Jahre Rosenthal Glas 1978. ca. 80 Seiten? mit Abb. von Glas und Porzellan + Kalender.

and btw: privately we had a lot of Rosenthal glass MARIA during the eighties! No idea, where this was made then  >:D

Vielen Dank für den Nachweis, I will see if I can locate that work - but it does not seem a lot of information for a major company. I tried to get information some years ago on one of their exhibition stands but found out they do not speak to mortals.

I have looked in Designlasin at the pieces that TW designed for them, and your glasses aren't there, Ivo. However, I don't know how thorough the book is.
Here is a direct link to the pattern that 'Super Sue'  ;D found: http://www.replacements.com/webquote/RC_RC41.htm
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

They're not in Designlasin Hintakirja because they were made in Germany, alas. But thank you both Sue and Della for finding the Replacements entry.  ;) ;)

Hi Ivo,
On page 339 of Designlasin hintakirja there are pieces pictured that TW designed for Rosenthal, 11 different designs in total. These are the ones that I was referring to.
