 Found the signture with my fingertip and then eyeglass signed J. Sonita/Sorita??

Hi Cathy, i looked everywhere but came up with ziltch!! so i am begining to think that maybe it was made on a studio day like Adam has and a visitor made it, so as an experiment for us all i am going to try "da da dahhh!!" the candle and soot trick!! i will let you know what happens  >:D

Now please put some cellotape over it and "lift" the signature and stick that to a piece of white paper!

Apparently Sauta means 'co-wife' in some language [in Nepal I think], but thats about all Google turned up of interest. :huh:

Oooh hang on, it's not J. Santos by any chance? If so, maybe Julio Santos, Australia-based glass blower of Portuguese origin. Just tossing up a possibility...

Morning all, well here is the result and no CLUNK! although not very clear it did work to a point, as the base is rather concave the
cellotape creased and missed part of the lettering, i think it would have worked better on a flat base.
Holding the candle at an angle the flame hardly had to touch the glass, only the smoke (soot) from the candle touched the glass.
