Hello People
What is this please?
I have seen another one, but can't recall what it was half of - like the base for a vase or sculpture. Fancy trivet?
And who made it and when?

Thanks in advance

Oh, I know I've seen that somewhere too....
I think it might be a candle holder? I'll see if I can remember who by later...

I'd say it was a candleholder too - it looks Scandi doesn't it? Maybe Pukeberg or Iittala? Not sure though so don't quote me.

WMF is also a possibility, along with Walther.

These are found in many variants here in the cold north, they have room for a votive candle in the middle and a
kettle or soup pot on top that's being kept warm by the candle

Yup Alexander, they're usually round, aren't they. Haven't seen one this shape before...can't think of the manufacturer...

I think it was Mondo (?), Germany - covered in a previous thread. I had a large version pot warmer.

Pot warmer. I have a ref pic (can't post as copyright) showing this one with three parts as Huta Szkła w Jaśle Krosno. The WMF one is similar but has straighter sides. I have three different ones of these, one of which is almost like yours shown, but has five parts instead of three.

Please, Miss, I had one of these with a Georgshutte label on it.
Another buy from Switzerland, but I gave it away as a pressie.

Chris, My unphotographed one has a Georgshutte label on it, but it's a different style and the glass looks slightly different - somewhat clearer and less icy crackled.
Pip, they are made by loads of places. I have a whole raft of ref pics of them from different makers. At some time I'll try and get permission to post them as a reference album on GG.
