Hi gimmeglass,

I would presume that your bowl would date to the same period as this one

As to value, I wouldn't dare to hazard a guess. I haven't actually seen one for sale as yet. I suppose it totally depends on what a collector is prepared to pay, where you sell it and how many people are willing to battle for it.

Thank you Deltab  :),

Is there perhaps somebody else with a little bit more info?

* Is this vase for example indeed part of the Kullero-series from 1974?

* And is there perhaps somebody who has seen a similar object for sale and knows an estimated value for this object?

Thank y'all!  :D

At least in Finland these Okkolin pieces seems to reach quite nice prices.  Here is a link to an auction house in Helsinki ==>  http://www.apollo.fi/hk.php?hk=A58&kategoria=1&pvm=05.06.2007.  The item is no. 280 in the catalogue.

The piece shown even has a small damage to the rim.  Dimensions:  hight 10cm, diameter 18 cm.

Hiya Gimmeglass - generally speaking you'll find that people are unwilling to offer valuations on this board - there are just too many variations to take into consideration like condition, rarity, location.  I'm emailed constantly via my website for valuations and I personally think it's unwise to offer valuations on items you can't hold and see.  You'll usually get a lot of really useful and pertinent information here but not price guides.  What I do to gauge an item's worth is a number of things combined like checking glass reference books, conducting extensive searches on the internet and watching online auctions of same/similar items.  Hope this helps.

Hi Pip,

I'm aware that there are often too many variations to take into consideration for a valuation. But I didn't have a glass reference book in which this glass object is shown. And yes, I've found similar items like this one on the Internet but never the exact same design.
So that's why I tried to ask here for info and a valuation. As they say Pip: "if you don't try, you will never know"  :)

Thanx.
