Whitefriars Ducks

For all things WF ducky have a good look through this website

http://hometown.aol.com/whitefriarsducks/index.html  Link dead
New URL:
http://www.whitefriarsducks.co.uk/

If I remember correctly they had fire-polished beaks and a more upright stance from 1957 (when they were introduced) till some time around 1960 when they changed to the "classic" shape.  Lately some examples have turned up that show the changeover where you get a near-"classic" shape with a fire-polished beak, but the fire-polishing caused marks on the side of the head.

For real duck heaven have a look at these (I have handled the smallest and he is absolutely fab ;D ;D ;D)

I started with Carnival glass, then other C20 irridescent, then Whitefriars ducks, then Dartington FT Daisies etc, then Whitefriars Tricorns...when will it end?
