Help with identification please - Water jug and 6 glasses
« on: August 28, 2007, 05:36:08 PM »
I would appreciate your help in identifying a water jug and 6 glasses.  They are all faceted and have individual scenes of deer and forest.  They are a pale blue/grey colour with polished bases.  The jug is 21 cm tall and 11cm wide at base (9cm at top).  The glasses are 9.5cm high.

Thank you

Very Bohemian in every aspect - but not easy to lock into a time frame. These sets are still being made, and have been for 150 years or so. But you may assume it is recent - first of all there are 6 glasses with the set, second it is not very elaborate. Check for wear on the bottom to see if they are older or not. My guess is they are not.

Thanks, Ivo. There is very little wear on the base, which suggests they were made fairly recently.
