Hello everyone

I recently bought this vase at a jumble sale. I love it. I loved it even
more, when I found out it was signed, but here comes the bad bit,
I cannot read the signature. Can anyone help in identifying this vase?

Thanks very much

Just a guess but the bubbly glass and the colour remind me of some of Eric Hoglund's work - he signed his work with an 'H' followed by a number.   Could this be what your 'signature' is - I can't see very well from the photograph.

if it is it would be "Boda H" plus a four digit number. I have a similar pot in brown (bubbles, folded rim) but the signature is legible. Polished pontil?

They are just signed H+number sometimes without the Boda....

Try this for a comparable piece.

...or this one signed 'H275/150' half way down the page.

I have 4 pieces of signed Eric Hoglund and none of them have the 'Boda' - they're all the letter 'H' followed by a series of numbers... I've not photographed them yet but will and will post the signatures up here.

Victor, your piece compares favouably with the one in Martyn's second link - I'd say it was almost certainly Eric Hoglund.   Hopefully Bill Geary (who knew Eric Hoglund) will see this and confirm for certain.

I've played with the pic a bit - I think I can see H 697 / 125  ???

yes that is it. I have about 8 pieces of Höglund, the older ones are signed Boda H, the later ones just H and number - and some are not signed at all.

That's useful to know - cheers Ivo.

Hello All

Well, I compared it to several Höglund pieces I found on the net,
I am pretty convinced it is. Just wanted to thank all for the help
