Madame Tussauds
« on: September 10, 2007, 01:51:17 PM »
Picked up a great little piece advertising the London waxworks M. Tussauds - appears to be Chance - can anyone confirm this?
Regards,
Firestone.

I do also have one of these myself, however the feeling is these were not made by Chance. It is possible, assuming they slumped this particular size (a 5 x 4-in Novelty Tray), to be Duro-Ray in Walthamstow (name now changed), but after contacting them I got no help at all.

Attached is a photo of my Tussaud's tray. One point about Chance novelty trays: the background print was invariably rounded off on the corners, however, this would depend on the design and the Tussaud's tray doesn't allow for this.

Could be Chance, but the former manager of the Fiesta department does not recall it being made. The use of 3 colours does make it more expensive as well (3 separate silk-screening operations).
