Stuart Crystal - "Hamilton" - 4x 7oz rummer
« on: September 13, 2007, 10:59:43 AM »
Hi all :)

I've recently unearthed an unopened box of four Stuart Crystal, "Hamilton" design, 7oz rummers and am struggling to find any info on them on the net. Even a forum search here has yielded nothing! Does anyone know anything about this particular design?

Many thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Jordan, and welcome to the board. Stuart Hamilton pattern is listed on replacements.com site here: http://www.replacements.com/webquote/STUHAMI.htm which gives it as a discontinued pattern. There is a list of pieces made in that pattern along with some pictures. Hope this helps. :)

I really like this site for discontinued Stuart, Edinburgh and Webb in particular - they have good clear images of the patterns so it makes for easier ID than the Replacements site sometimes.

Thank you very much!

I totally agree Lynne, but they don't seem to have the Hamilton pattern listed. I checked there before going to replacements.

ah, I didn't check, just added the link from my bookmarks in case Jordan didn't have it for future reference.  And of course Hamilton has already been identified from the box!

so that way is no good then.... but I wonder if it does imply that Hamilton is not a very common pattern? I checked my Marketplace Research for any on ebay.co.uk in the last 2 months and none at all.
Thank you very much!

It could be. I thought it's odd they don't have it. If there's none been on eBay either it sounds perhaps as if it wasn't a long-lived or popular pattern. I think it's rather nice.
