Are these Murano lamps?
« on: October 03, 2007, 05:02:25 PM »
Hi--I was wondering what the general consensus was on these lamps.  Murano or not?

Thanks!

I think you need to make your pictures bigger for anyone to be able to see them well enough to tell.  A good size is around 600x400 pixels, which displays on screen at around 6" x 4" for most folks. You don't need to make thumbnails of them, the board does that for you auto-magically. Just keep the filesize below 125kb per image and it'll work for you. If you get stuck just ask for help, or email me larger images and I'll add them to the topic for you if it won't work for you.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Look like Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso from the 1050's I'm sure Laura will confirm or otherwise, but I'm 95% certain.

The filigrana pattern reminds me of AVeM. I have a fan vase that is very similar. I believe that Fratelli Toso also did a similar pattern. (Salviati did a similar pattern in the early 20th Century, but I don't know if they ever did a lamp using the pattern.)

"A Trinna" design by Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso.
Not sure but I might have bought these lamps this month, lol.
