Malachite A
« on: September 18, 2007, 12:42:42 PM »
I am sorting out some of my older acquisitions, I was waiting for my copy of Hajdamach to arrive, hopefully to work out the makers of some malachite I can't place, but no... not in there...

I've now ordered a copy of Jenny Thompson, in the hope I can work out my patterns in the future, but that will be about 5 weeks away.  So in the meantime, I hope you don't mind, I'm putting some of my unknowns here for some help.

This first one is a little helmet shaped creamer - nice strap work on a stippled background.  Seems that the stippled background is mostly Davidson - might that be right?

Thank you very much!

unmarked purple slag (PLEASE!) is quite often French, not British. Your creamer is most probably from France, where several makers used this colour.
