ID Victorian Black Pressed Glass Egyptian Lady Candlestick
« on: September 18, 2007, 07:18:56 PM »
Any information on these candlesticks please which I bought at my local auction last week, they are made from black pressed glass (very dark purple amethyst) late 19th Century each modelled on an Egyptian lady, and both have a bronzed finish, they stand over 11" tall and each one weighs approx 1.1kg.

The only other pair that I have seen were sold through Fieldings auction earlier in the year, they described them as possible John Derbyshire, information so far tell me they are not John Derbyshire and may not even be British, the one name that has been mentioned to me is Val St Lambert
