Pair of vases - Murano?
« on: September 20, 2007, 02:12:07 PM »
I purchases this matched pair of vases a few months ago.  The murrine designs are varied between the 2 vases.

The label is red with silver lettering that says "Lavorazione Arte Murano Made in Italy".

Are these authentic Murano?  If so, any ideas on the artist and value?

Thanks!!

Although you won't this company mentioned in any of the major books, I believe it's a Murano company, but not a major one. If you use eBay as a yardstick, the two vases wouldn't bring in much of price. I'd enjoy them for what you like in them.

Yes, I figured they were probably contemporary and not old.  I've tried to find some info based on the label, but no such luck yet.

I didn't pay much for them, so I'll just enjoy them as I think they're very pretty.

Thanks!
