This reminds me a little of an Alistair Malcolm piece or the one I had by Blowzone, but I've not managed to find out anything on this one.  Any clues or has anyone seen one similar please?  Bad pic of the base but it was incredibly difficult to get the camera to focus, it's completely polished shiny smooth and you can see the internal walls of the weight through it.
It has a curious groove cut into it, kind of as though it might have been used as a place name setting
