Topic: Heavy green lobed bowl - Czech? Scandi? - ID = Whitefriars 9250

I've just struggled home with this monumental piece weighing 3.6kg. Approx. 11" across x 7" high and ovoid shape with a polished pontil mark.  I don't think it's Whitefriars but will check some more.  Lots of wear on the base and obviously old.  Who ever made it must have been quite strong as well as skilled.  I wasn't sure where to post this one but thought may be it could possibly be Czech.  It looks to have flanged sides, but that's just an optical illusion and it has four lobes.

Any suggestions as to origins would be greatly appreciated.

Nic is right.They also came in a smaller size, roughly 8 inches on the long side. Yours is Sea Green,but also come in Twilight, Golden Amber, Sapphire Blue, Flint.  I also understand, although not catalogued, there may be the odd Ruby one about.  Very gorgeous bowls but never seem to realise their true value for some reason but I buy them whenever I can.  Emmi

Many thanks Nic and Emmi  I shouldn't have been too quick to disregard Whitefriars  I've checked the WF catalogues and see that it appeared in both the 1949 and 1954 cats.
