Caithness Perth site closure
« on: October 28, 2007, 08:39:51 AM »
Hi,
Just to tell you all(if you haven't already heard),that on Friday Dartington Crystal announced that after failing to agree terms with the landlord of the proposed new factory on the Perth site, they will be closing down the Perth factory. This will entail the loss of the entire retail shop and  staff ,the manufacturing is to be moved to a unit in Crieff .This also will involve some job losses but at this time we do not know who this will affect.I will try and keep you posted on how things end up.The manufacturing ceases in Pertrh at the end of this year and restarts in Crieff in January. The retail shop in Perth will continue until the end of January and then close. >:(

Kilmartin responded, Dartington have been asked to respond - see the correspondence via above link.

It will help if others contact Dartington Crystal too.
