Rosice "Moravia" bark pattern vase
« on: November 04, 2007, 08:45:10 PM »
Hi, another one added to the collection this weekend :).  I'm fairly certain this is Sklo Union, the base is the same as my Rudolf Jurnikl jardinaire, but then I get a bit stuck... I've found reference (www.sklounion.com) to the Moravia range designed by Vadislav Urban, the texture looks right but I don't know if this shape is right?

I started with Carnival glass, then other C20 irridescent, then Whitefriars ducks, then Dartington FT Daisies etc, then Whitefriars Tricorns...when will it end?

Thanks Marcus  :chky:.  I take it that I got the designer and factory right then?

How's the book doing?

Yes, Urban and Rosice.
Book? Delayed and growing, database of identified items will be in the region of 2000 items or more, 800 of which have been added in the last six weeks.

Marcus

I really like that one - its like a Whitefriars bark vase and a Rosice jardiniere got together for afternoon delight and look what came of the union....

Thank you very much!

Yeah, the bark pattern is very similar to the W/f one :-\.  If there are cylindrical vases with the same pattern they must be very close, but presumably the base would be a give-away.  I actually like this blue more than most of the W/f blues - but it isn't a patch on Sky Blue ;D.
