  I have a label that I have seen before but cannot think of the maker. I know its an easy one- can anyone help?? (only hope the pic loads-ha ha)

It is hard for me to read the number on the tag. It looks like 038. If it is, it is Madruzzato Alessandro. There is a table of VM numbers at http://www.muranoglass.com/murano/eng/Marchio%20Vetro%20Artistico%20Murano-Home.htm under the "Concessionaires" link. This is a great page to bookmark.

This is the item that goes with the label.  Just completed auction, any member have ideas as to age-possibly modern. 15cm H 20 cm L weights in at a hefty 2.06kg. Anita-how can I get that link to open??

Carolglass, congrats on the new bird. I don't know why the link won't open from the group for you. Something you can try to do is to cut and paste the address into your address bar. I hope that the entire text of the link is showing up for you. If not, just let me know. Maybe it will work if I remove the http and just write:

I know what the problem is. It is a translated page. My computer has been primed to handle it. Try http://www.muranoglass.com and click your language, then the "companies" link on the next page.The companies with their VM numbers should come up.

I didn't remember that I had accessed the page through a translation link. Sorry for sending you in circles.
