Red Swirl Vase- (is it anything?)
« on: December 03, 2007, 10:04:14 AM »
Just thought I would post this...is this anything.  I have had this for over 26 years now...as it was the first piece I ever bought at a garage sale when I moved here. I bought it just for my new place starting out.  I think (?) it did have a label, but back then I did not care, as it was not until some 20 years later that I really started to collect things, and realized that leave label alone.  So I can say with all honestly....I have had for that many years...

70s-80s Chinese. My parents in law have a number of similar pieces bought new in Shanghai c.1981.

 :X:    *   Bump from 2007   *     :X:

I am wondering IF this might be ALROSE Glass.  I probably bought this like 19 years ago, and it seems that name is ringing in the back of my head.  Somehow I think at the time I was told something ??Rose.....and because I have connections (??) with the Name Rose -- I am thinking this is the name that I was told years ago when I bought this.

When I stumbled upon that ALROSE site -- it just seemed to pop in my head that when I bought that many, many years ago -- I think that is the name the guy said it was -- now whether it is, or not......that is another story.

Does anyone think this might be ALROSE GLASS ??

Is Alrose Italian Glass from the 60's era? TIA
