Sklo or Ingridglas Flint Vase? Strange Reptile Texture!
« on: January 13, 2008, 03:46:07 PM »
Here's a chunky vase that confused me a little (not unusual). It features a deep 'reptile' or bark texture, in flint, but the birdbath base well does not look right for Sklo Union with a plain, unground and thick rim, rather than the thinner ground rim normally seen on SU. It appears to have a four-part mould.

10-in (25.5cm) tall x 3¾-in (9.5cm) diameter

Ingridglas?

Hi David,
Looks do not suggest Sklo Union, though it will take me some time to check through everything.
Regards,
Marcus

Marcus' considered opinion is that it is Ingriglas, not Sklo, but more later...
