Large weight, intersecting through holes ID = Karlin Rushbrooke
« on: January 13, 2008, 04:10:51 PM »
I am hoping someone can identify this rather strange weight. It has two holes that go straight through the centre, which intersect in the centre. Does that make sense? :-\

The inclusions are yellow and grey-purple trails, with a central spiralled orange ribbon.

Any help much appreciated 8)

Hi David, your paperweight is by Karlin Rushbrooke. i have searched the internet for his paperweights but can't find any. i don't think he has his own website but there are some websites that have some of his glass. a quick search will find them. here are a couple of pics of my paperweight for comparison.

kindest regards theglassnut...

As an update, there is also a date engraved on the side, if this helps: 11/1979

Thanks Ray, not an artist I was familiar with. Some very nice designs.
