A Glass Button And Its Mould

I am so happy and still can hardly believe what has happened:
I own this mould since several years. Lately I bought some lots of pressed glass buttons locally on eBay. The seller made an additional gift: four of them exactly match this mould  :chky:
the seller is happy, I am happy, who can ask for more?

These are likely to have been used in Northern Bohemia, their is a detailed contemporary report (digitised book in German only) in the Glass Study that tells the remarkably poor conditions that these, lowest of the low, homeworking glass makers lived and worked for a below subsistance income. All the children had to work too. Perhaps only those doing the mercury glass filling (by mouth) were worse off.

the Lady granting the heart shaped to my museum said she had met a person who had to colour these buttons day-in day-out - these will be shown next
