The Romanians are known for metallic applications on decorative glass. I do not know the names of any Romanian glass companies and this exporter is not saying:
http://www.alibaba.com/member/ticmar/product.html
So it's not at all similar to those examples of current production but that's all I have to suggest.

Hi Cazza

Looks to be one of those pieces of glass that looks to have some age; but probably hasnt? (see modern Chinese S&W?) Drawing its references from various late 19th/early 20th C sources. Sorry I cant help with attribution. An accomplished piece of glass nonetheless.

Ciao. Trev.

Hi again Cassa

It may well not be Chinese. I was just drawing comparisons. It does seem to be a mish mash of styles though; and you are unlikely to find a Chinese version of Stevens & Williams advertised for sale as that; though that would appear be the attribution for a lot of 19th C style glass coming out of China currently. I thought I would add this comment to save you going off on a wild goose chase. Sorry if you have already started! :spls2: China is a thought though.

Cheers. Trev.
